As a Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Analyst within PNC's Commercial Real Estate Credit Risk Modeling Group, you may work REMOTE within PNC's national footprint, except Colorado, Hawaii, or Alaska.

As a Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Analyst you will spend time on Credit Risk model development (programming in Python) and conduct analytics on large data sets within the CECL and CCAR areas. Focus is on programming and levering existing analytics and data tools. Typical day would include programming, modeling, running queries in PNC’s > 40 Billion in the Commercial Real Estate Portfolio area plus presenting results to senior management team and business partners.

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in a STEM related field (Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, etc.) Master’s is a plus.
  • 2+ years of model development and or data analysis experience. Less experience combined with advanced degrees may be considered.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python is required.
  • Knowledge of CECL and CCAR is a plus.
  • Experience with PySpark is a plus.
  • Experience with Hadoop is a plus.
  • Solid technical writing skills are a plus.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with a strong work ethic.

Job Description

  • Under general supervision, performs advanced quantitative analyses and models development to support decision-making by running quantitative strategies.
  • Analyzes and develops new model frameworks by supporting the line of business. Refines, monitors, and reviews existing models. Conducts on-going communication with model owners and model developers during the course of the review. Works with large data to create models.
  • Performs quantitative analysis and develops reports. Performs qualitative and quantitative assessments of all aspects of models including theoretical aspects, model design and implementation as well as data quality and integrity. Analyzes complex data and associated quantitative analysis.
  • Uses quantitative tools and techniques to measure and analyze model risks and reaches conclusions on strengths and limitations of the model.
  • Prepares and analyzes detailed documents for validation and regulatory compliance, using applicable templates.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
